Catering FAQs
How much does full service catering cost?
How many catering platters do I need for my event?
How do I choose the service style for my full-service event?
There are 4 primary catering styles available for your full-service event that include buffet style, family style, food stations, and plated and served. There are several factors that can come into play when determining which style will work best. At Pine Valley Market, we will work with you to help you determine which style best suits your needs, your venue, your budget, and the overall feel of the event you are creating.
Buffet Style:
This style includes an elegantly arranged food display on tables where guests can filter through and make selections on their own. We recommend a plated salad to precede this service style allowing us to tap tables and create a natural flow to the buffet, avoiding long lines.
Food Stations:
This catering style involves having strategically placed food stations placed throughout the event venue, allowing guests to mingle more as they collect food items.
Family Style:
Family-style catering falls right between a buffet and a plated meal. Family style essentially brings the buffet to the guests at their table, allowing your guests to stay seated throughout the dining process.
Plated & Served:
This is the most formal kind of catering where guests will be seated at a table, and servers will bring their meals to them.
